Formed in Mullingar, Ireland in 2012, Ska's Good Gravy signature sound is a nod to early
Jamaican Ska combined  with a modern, raw and gutsy approach.

The founding members have a synergy that comes from years of playing together.

In 2014 the band was joined by  Justin Ryan of The Blizzards, who brought an added depth to the SGG live sound.

Although the band got their start as devotees of early ska, they have since been expanding on their influences, absorbing everything from early ska, rocksteady and reggae.

SGG's debut album ‘ROOTS TO THE SAUCE’ is currently being recorded and will be ready for release
in the summer of 2015.
The album will be a collection of songs written by the band combined with some classic ska and reggae favourites.

The current line-up has performed at some of Ireland’s major festivals in 2014 including
Electric Picnic, Skadoonvarna and Booleigh Ska festival.

A demo of ‘ROOTS TO THE SAUCE’ was recorded in October 2014 and subsequently
received airtime on both Dublin and Belfast radio programs dedicated to ska and reggae music.

Critics and fans agreed that the recordings capture SGG's kinetic energy and their own brand of ska improvisation.

It is their humble devotion to music and a commitment to achieving their goals
without compromising the integrity of their musical vision that makes SGG a rare find.
